Research Expertise: Ceramics | Polymers | Electronic Materials

I-Wei Chen’s interests span several aspects of nanomaterial research. He investigates magnetic and fluorescent smart colloids for molecular imaging, primarily MRI; nanograin ceramics, which deals with multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC), specifically sintering and dielectric/ferroelectric properties of barium titanate; and thin film nanometallic electronic devices for resistance random access memory (RRAM). I-Wei Chen is also studying energy materials, such as zirconia, thermoelectrics and transparent electrodes.
