17th European Conference on Object-Oriented Programming
Darmstadt, Germany
July 21-25, 2003

***********************************************************************
Dear Colleage,
This year ECOOP is hosted by Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany,
and takes place from Monday July 21 to Friday July 25.
Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 will be dedicated to workshops and tutorials.
The tutorial programme includes 28 high-quality tutorials given by
internationally well-known experts on a multitude of highly relevant
topics including component technology, such as EJB, .Net, and CCM,
concurrent programming in Java, web-services, aspect-oriented software
development, agile software development processes and test-driven
development, product lines, mobile systems, model-driven architecture,
meta-modeling, patterns for persisting object in relational databases,
software verification, generative programming, etc.
In addition, 21 workshops will be offered on similar topics.
The main conference runs from Wednesday 23 to Friday 25, and hosts the
technical program, consisting of 18 high-quality technical papers and three
invited talks given by Martin Abadi, Carl Gunter, and Mary Fenandez. In
this occasion we also feature an attractive birds-of-a-feather (BoF)
meeting called "The Code-In and Refactoring Party". Participants will be
offered the possibility to organize similar events during the
conference. Demonstrations, posters, and exhibits will happen in parallel
with the technical program.
You can also take the opportunity to present your company and your
capabilities during the accompanying thematic exhibition. Seize this
chance to be represented in an exciting environment (600 to 800
decision-makers from the areas of science and practice) - under
particularly lucrative terms! More information on the exhibition is
available on the ECOOP website at www.ecoop.konziel.com or by
telephone at +49 (0) 6151 155 433.
And, of course, an extensive social program has been arranged in order
to help all participants enjoy the visit.
It's time to register. Do not miss the opportunity to meet all the OO
community in July at Europes most renowned conference on
object-orientation.
Looking forward to see you in Darmstadt.
The ECOOP 2003 Organizing Team.
